We are currently hiring a Night Shift Dock Supervisor. 

Job description:

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading  freight by performing the following duties:
• Assigns job tasks to workers according to loading and unloading schedules
• Observes loading  to determine conformance to loading patterns and to prevent shifting or damage to materials or products during transit 
• Interprets client/company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations  
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet  schedules in conjunction with dispatch 
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems  
• Review of that day's events, recapping with central dispatch and provide computer and hard copy reports for Management  
• Performs activities of workers supervised 
• Responsible for managing KPI, ie – on-time departs, load factor/accuracy, cube/reweigh targets, service and costs
• Directly supervises 4 to 20 dock workers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the client’s/organization's policies and applicable laws. 
• Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of equipment and material handling procedures
• Dangerous Goods Certificate
• Strong leadership with previous supervisory experience preferred
• Geographic knowledge of the areas we service
• Good communication skills
• Computer skills for preparing reports & working on AS-400 and email platform
• Basic math skills for cubing, adding, etc.

Hours of work: Full-time, mornings 0001-1200 (Tues - Fri)

Salary: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year (salary will be determined on experience and qualifications)
